You might have seen the overflowing number of blue Comfort cabs appearing in the trailer of action blockbuster Hitman: Agent 47, but besides these vehicles and the overused (but still beautiful) Marina Bay Sands, here are 7 other fun facts that scream ‘Singapore’ in this Hollywood movie.

1. Special permits were issued for the filming to take place at Robinson Road, where traffic lights had to be specially controlled.

2. The road closure for 2.5 days (Friday night to Monday morning) at Robinson Road was the 1st in Singapore’s history to do that, and resulted in diversion of bus routes for that 3 days.

3. For their shoot in Chinatown, the production crew liaised with the 90 stalls individually, and spent 3 days before the actual filming day to ‘chope’ (reserve) parking lots for their 60 production vehicles.

4. A scene with Hannah Ware and Ciaran Hind on the Skywalk at Gardens By The Bay was specially added because of the attractive place.

5. A section of Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 was closed just for the filming of the movie where it took about 3 hours to clear the security checks for 520 crew and cast members.

6. More than 150 Singapore credited talents, 17 stuntmen and hundreds of film extras were involved in this movie.

7. An ammo department was specially created to oversee and look after the 139 guns and 2800 blanks that were specially brought in to Singapore. Local auxiliary police were also deployed at all shoots where guns were involved, to oversee the safety of the filming process.
