Ever heard of ‘Enfield Poltergeist’? It’s one of the world’s most bizarre and extraordinary paranormal activity that happened at a North London home in 1977.
Nearly 40 years later, a chilling three-part drama series, "Enfield Haunting” is set to premiere tomorrow on Thrill. The series is adapted from Guy Lyon Playfair's book, and is based on the terrifying and bizarre real events which took place at the house. It also inspired the director of The Conjuring movie franchise.
The case involves two sisters: Janet Hodgson, an 11 year-old girl and her 13-year-old elder sister. Janet and her sister were targets of supernatural forces, such as demonic voices, overturned chairs, unknown knockings and levitation. Janet was also believed to be possessed during her teenage years at the house.
The series also explores how Maurice Grosse, the doting researcher, who not only believes her, he goes to great lengths to protect her from the strange, dark forces, in hopes of making peace with his own daughter's untimely death.
Enfield Haunting airs first and exclusively on Thrill (StarHub Cable TV Channel 618 and Singtel TV Channel 415) at 9pm on Friday, 15 January!
