Apart from the massive online sales on this special day - 11th of November, this day is known as ‘Singles’ Day’ where young people celebrate the fact that they are proud of being single.
There’s no concrete fact as to how Pocky (from Japan) and Pepero (from Korea) are associated with November 11th, but as you have guessed, it’s most probably because11/11 looks like the thin chocolate-coated biscuit sticks. For those who are unaware, this particular day is also known as ‘International Pocky Day’ and/or ‘International Pepero Day’, depending on which side you’re on.
