By Flora  /  23 Jan 2017 (Monday)

For the avid moviegoers, the Oscars is the highlight event of the year - where fans all over the world celebrate (and mourn) the best and unexpected film contenders that left an impression in the past year.

Subscribers of HBO across Asia can get the ultimate Oscars® experience of the 89th Academy Awards, starting with the award nominations tomorrow at 9.18pm, followed by the live telecast of the red carpet event and actual award show.

In the weeks leading up to the epitome of cinematic award recognition, HBO will be releasing a series of previous Oscar-winning films for fans to relive these highly acclaimed pictures. (See below for schedule)

Previous Oscar winners including Jennifer Hudson, Brie Larson, Emmanuel Lubezki, Jason Reitman and Ken Watanabe will join Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs to reveal the 24 Oscar® award categories at the 89th Oscars® Nominations.
Watch it live on HBO (StarHub TV Ch 601) and on StarHub Go for HBO subscribers at 9.18pm on January 24, 2017.

Held at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, the 89th Oscars will be hosted by the late-night talk show host, producer and comedian Jimmy Kimmel. This will be Jimmy Kimmel’s first time hosting the Academy Awards.
