'Show What You Love About Singapore' Film Competition!
By InCinemas / 03 Aug 2011 (Wednesday)
If you could immortalise what you loved best about Singapore, how would you do it?
Nexus has launched ciNE65, a short film competition for the Singapore community to express what they love about Singapore. All Singaporeans here and abroad, as well as foreigners living in Singapore, are welcome to take part in the competition. You can start submitting your films online from August 2011 to 30 Sep 2011. Attractive prizes to be won!
“ciNE65 is different from other short film competitions in that it is dedicated to telling the Singapore story. We believe everyone has a story to tell and we would like them to share it with the rest of Singapore on what is uniquely Singaporean to them. It could be about reminiscing the past, reflecting on the present or looking into the future. There is definitely something in these stories that all of us can identify with,” said Colonel (COL) Kelvin Koh, Director, Nexus.

It also has various technical awards to recognise participants for their film-making skills. In addition, ciNE65 provides an opportunity for aspiring film-makers to showcase their works not just locally but also abroad, as selected winning films will be submitted for overseas film festivals and competitions.

"I'm happy to be involved in cINE65. I believe Singapore needs more avenues for its own film-makers to achieve their dreams. More importantly, Singaporeans love Singapore and are proud to be Singaporeans. What better way to tell their personal stories than through ciNE65,” said Irene Ang, Actress and Founder of Fly Entertainment.
