What are Jack Jack’s Powers in 'Incredibles 2'?

By Flora  /  12 Jun 2018 (Tuesday)

13 years after the Disney superhero animation, The Incredibles, the sequel finally hits the big screen this Thursday, 14 June! This time, baby Jack-Jack joins the crime-busting family to fight a new villain who threatens the lives of their city. With the help of Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson), the Parr family decides to suit up and protect their city. Back at home, Bob (Mr Incredible) discovers Jack-Jack's abilities and struggles to manage the little one at home, especially when he can't exactly control his superpowers on his own.

The seemingly powerless infant might just be the most powerful member of the Parr family. From the early reviews of the movie, it looks like many people are enjoying the adorable Jack-Jack, who not surprisingly, steals the show. Every baby does!

Here's a breakdown of what we think are Jack-Jack's superpowers, but we highly suspect the list carries on.

Towards the end of the first movie, we saw Jack-Jack unleashing a range of powers in mid-air when he was abducted by Syndrome.

A quick recap here:

And over the last few months, we’ve seen the trailers for the upcoming movie which gives us a glimpse into a few of Jack Jack’s other unknown powers.

Here’s what we know so far…
  • Shapeshifting: A full body transformation
    • Metal form
    • Devil form
  • Self-Combustion - The ability to set himself on fire without actually burning himself
  • Laser beam emission: Fire lasers from his eyes
  • Teleportation: Jack-Jack can teleport himself, but it is unknown as to how far its distance can reach
  • Levitation: No surprise that Jack-Jack has the ability to fly
  • Electricity Manipulation: He is able to conjure lightning and most probably be able to zap anyone who touches him
  • Space Travel: It seems like Jack-Jack can travel through the space-time continuum as well
  • Multiplication: Jack-Jack can multiply himself into many other Jack-Jacks
  • Intangibility: The power to travel through physical objects like walls and doors

This may explain why the cutest superhero baby has so many powers
