By Say Peng  /  07 Sep 2018 (Friday)

Co-produced by mm2 Entertainment and Good Movie, Taiwanese romance More than Blue, directed by Gavin Lin, will world premiere at the Open Cinema section of the 2018 Busan International Film Festival.

Previous films from Taiwan selected for the same section are 'Our Times' and 'At Cafe 6', both of which were box office success in Taiwan.

'More than Blue' is a remake of the Korean film of the same name. It is also the first Taiwanese remake of a Korean film in the past decade.

The film follows the story of terminally ill, K, whose final wish is to ensure the happiness of Cream, the women he loves.

"It's a happy homecoming for our film. I'm honoured to bring this story back to Korea to be screened," said Gavin Lin, who is well known for his romance films such as 'Welcome to the Happy Days' and 'A Moment of Love'.

"I anticipate Korea audiences tearing up and I will have (actor) Jasper Liu ready to wipe everyone's tears!"

'More than Blue' lead actor Jasper Liu is a household name in South Korea after the success of romantic comedy 'Take Me to the Moon' at the South Korean box office.

'More than Blue' also stars Taiwanese actors Ivy Chen, Bryan Chang, Annie Chen, Emma Wu, Bruce Hung, and Da Ching.
