It's been an unbelievably long time since 'Toy Story 3' (2010).
Everyone assumed that 'Toy Story 3' would be the end of the series. But in 2014, Disney announced that 'Toy Story 4' was in the works.
The teasers of the long awaited 'Toy Story 4' has been released. While it's low on details about the plot, it does introduce a new character - Forky.
Voiced by comedian Tony Hale ('Veep', 'Arrested Development'), Forky is a spork who has been refashioned into a toy and, as a result, suffers from an existential crisis. He wants to be an utensil and not a toy. In the teaser, Forky cries out "I don't belong here!"
New cast also includes Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, both of whom will voice a pair of characters called Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won.
In the second teaser, Ducky and Bunny make fun of Buzz Lightyear. It's self-referential and hilarious.
The film's official synopsis reads: "Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called ‘Forky’ to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”
'Toy Story 4' is expected to be released in June 2019.
