Joe and Anthony Russo, famously known as the Russo Brothers, have announced their post-Avengers film.
It will be an adaptation of debut writer Nico Walker's autobiographical novel 'Cherry'.
Born in 1985, Nico Walker is a former US army medic. He served 11 months in Iraq and returned home with an extreme case of post-traumatic stress disorder. He turned to heroin to cope with his PTSD. To fund his drug addiction, Walker began to rob banks, carrying out 10 heists in four months before he was arrested and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
After a competitive bidding war, the Russo Brothers successfully secured the novel for $1 million.
Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is currently in talks to star.
The film is expected to shoot this summer.
