Clover Films Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Local movie distribution and production company, Clover Films, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and has lined up a slate of Asian movies in the coming months.

Over the past ten years, Clover Films has produced and invested in more than 30 local movies. Currently, Jack Neo's Ah Boys to Men 2 《新兵正传 II》is the highest-grossing Asian movie of all time at the Singapore's box office. The film is co-produced by Clover Films, mm2 Entertainment & J Team Productions. Other local films include Eric Khoo's Ramen Teh 《情牵拉面茶》 (co-produced with Zhao Wei Films & Bert Pictures), and Long Long Time Ago 《我们的故事》which starred Mark Lee, Aileen Tan and Wang Lei.

The company has also distributed more than 250 Asian movies in Singapore, including the 2016’s Korean blockbuster Train to Busan 《尸杀列车》, Jackie Chan’s CZ12 《十二生肖》, Andy Lau’s Shock Wave 《拆弹专家》 and The White Storm 2 Drug Lords 《扫毒2天地对决》 and director Dante Lam’s Operation Red Sea《红海行动》. Not forgetting the prestigious Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or award winners for both 2018 and 2019, namely Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Shoplifters《小偷家族》and Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite《寄生上流》

Clover Films has also executed more than 30 star tours, bringing to Singapore international and Asian superstars such as Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Jay Chou, Michelle Yeoh, Hwang Jung-min, So Ji-sub, Song Joong-ki, Seiko Matsuda, Takumi Saitoh, Eric Tsang, Sandra Ng, Nick Cheung, Hyun Bin, Jang Dong-gun, Choi Si-won, Kim Woo-bin, Julian Cheung and Charmaine Sheh, among many others. 

In its upcoming slate are Korean box-office hit Metamorphosis, Hirokazu Kore-eda’s masterpiece The Truth, Andy Lau’s highly-anticipated Shock Wave 2《拆弹专家2》and Singaporean horror anthology film, Late Night Ride《开夜车》.
