20 October 2011, Singapore – In May this year, SHAW THEATRES LIDO IMAX opened with Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (IMAX 3D), and subsequently screened Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (IMAX 3D) and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (IMAX 3D).
But what about all the wonderful IMAX blockbusters that premiered before May 2011?
IMAX patrons have been asking for their favourite Hollywood films in the superior IMAX platform. Following their feedback, SHAW THEATRES has worked closely with movie distributors to bring back blockbusters that will offer a great experience when viewed on IMAX Digital Theatre System.
To start off, the public and IMAX movie-lovers can look forward to Avatar Special Edition (IMAX 3D), How To Train Your Dragon (IMAX 3D), Thor (IMAX 3D) and Star Trek (IMAX)!

To sweeten the deal, SHAW THEATRES will be launching SHAW IMAX Passport – you get to watch three stipulated IMAX movies (two IMAX 3D and a IMAX 2D) at the great value of $49!
