Coming 2 America is going to Amazon Prime

The slumping theatrical marketplace has lost yet another movie to a streaming service. This time, its Eddie Murphy's Coming to America sequel.
Amazon has closed a deal with Paramount, the studio behind Coming 2 America, and will see the movie premiere on its streaming site.
Coming to America is a 1988 American romantic comedy film directed by John Landis and based on a story originally created by Eddie Murphy, who also starred in the lead role. Murphy plays Akeem Joffer, the crown prince of the fictional African nation of Zamunda, who travels to the United States in the hopes of finding a woman he can marry.
In the sequel, Murphy’s ruler of Zamunda character Akeem learns he has a long-lost son in the United States and must return to America to meet the unlikely heir to the throne.
Coming 2 America is expected to make its premiere on December 18.
