By Rachelle  /  22 Oct 2020 (Thursday)

The Fast and Furious franchise is taking it up to 11 and ending its run there.

Justin Lin who has helmed the franchise's third, fourth, fifth, sixth and ninth movies, will return to direct the final two installments.

But don't count on this news being the end of the fast and furious cinematic universe as spin-off movies based on Fast and Furious characters are currently in development at Universal! The first of those endeavors being 2019's Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
The latest instalment in the main Fast & Furious series, F9, was originally supposed to make its debut this year, but was forced to be pushed back to open in cinemas in 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

F9 will open in cinemas on 1 April 2021.
