Broadway's 'Spamalot' is set to become a movie!

The hit Broadway musical Monty Python’s Spamalot is getting the movie treatment and it will likely be made in the near future!
Spamalot is an adaptation of the 1975 classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to the musical and Monty Python troupe member Eric Idle has written the script. Casey Nicholaw, who choreographed the Tony-winning musical when it was on Broadway, is attached to direct.
The movie adaptation will be produced by Idle alongside Oscar-winning producer Dan Jinks, who is also working on a new film adaptation of the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof. Tim Curry, David Hyde Pierce, and Hank Azaria led the cast of the Broadway version of Spamalot back in 2005. It is unclear if they will reprise their roles in the adaptation.
