Jackie Chan's CZ12 breaks into the top 10 highest grossing movies 2012!

International superstar Jackie Chan’s action blockbuster CZ12 enters the top 10 highest grossing movies released in 2012, beating The Hunger Games (S$4.6 million), after collecting S$4.67 million in 22 days (20 Dec - 10 Jan) with 44 screens island-wide.

This marks the first time since 2006 that there are 2 Asian movies within the Top 10 highest grossing movies for that year. The other movie is Jack Neo's Ah Boys To Men.

Local titles aside, Jackie Chan's 101th movie CZ12 takes the place of All-Time Number 1 spot among all China, Hong Kong & Taiwan movies in Singapore! In second place is Donnie Yen’s Ip Man 2 (S$4.66 million in 2010) while the third goes to Stephen Chow’s action comedy Kungfu Hustle (S$4.33 million).

CZ12 is also Jackie Chan’s all time best selling movie in Singapore, besting his previous records held by Hollywood production Karate Kid which grossed $4.6 million in 2010 and The Story Of CIA First Strike which grossed S$3.8million.

CZ12 stars Korean well-known actor Kwone Sang Woo 权相佑, China up-and-coming young actresses Zhang Lanxin 张蓝心 and Yao Xingtong 姚星彤. CZ12 is still showing in cinemas and is co-distributed by Clover Films, Golden Village Pictures and Innoform Media.
