Each of them have a nickname attached to each ‘prince’, which showcased their unique talents namely, ‘smile prince’ Seung Jun, ‘sexy prince’ Min Hyuk, ‘pure prince’ WooBin, ‘cute prince’ SiYoon and ‘Prince of prince’ Sung Won.
A-Lands (Fans of A-Prince) were delighted by the members who performed covers from senior group DBSK, including songs like Mirotic. Fans went into a frenzy where tunes of ‘Light Up My World’ played. It is no wonder why they chose a ‘1D’ song for they would like to have an international collaboration with the Irish pop boy-band for they felt the tone and energy suited well with A-Prince.
Besides a dream collaboration with One Direction, they also cited Korean celebrities such as JYJ’s JaeJoong, singer Seven and international superstar Psy.
When asked about a role they would like to play if casted in a movie, some cited to play in an action movie and playing a handsome, popular son of a rich father. Youngest member Woobin stated that he would like to be a school boy in a movie, which brought much laughter.
Although the group do not have many songs to hold a 2-hour showcase, they managed charm their fans in other ways. The highlight of the showcase was definitely showcasing their world debut songs ‘My Lady’ and ‘Mambo’, which brought a unique flavour to their previous songs.
Also, fans celebrated Woo Bin and Seung Jun’s birthdays with a fan-made birthday video, messages from the other members and of course, a birthday cake and song for the birthday boys.
With an encore performance of a medley of Psy’s famous songs, they danced, sang and dazzled the night with ‘Gangnam Style’ and ‘Gentleman’. Fans couldn’t help but to scream when the they danced to Psy’s iconic moves like butt shaking, horse riding and hip swaying!
Their youthfulness and playfulness could be seen through their performances, with pretty much improvements to be made. Better performances came from their own tracks like ‘Hello’ and ‘Mambo’. Though new to the music scene, A-Prince sincerity and love for fans shines through their love for music and kpop.
