First 'The LEGO Ninjago Movie' Trailer Unleashed Its Power

By Freddy  /  09 Feb 2017 (Thursday)

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ just opens and we are given the trailer to ‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie’. This film is also based on the LEGO Ninjago toy line, but its plot will deviate from the ‘LEGO Ninjago: Master of Spinjitzu’ TV series, despite featuring the same characters.

It looks and feels completely different from the previous two LEGO movies, which is quite refreshing. However, judging from this trailer, it would be just as funny.

Here is the first trailer to the movie:

Synopsis:
In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu.

The trailer wastes no time getting into the attack on Ninjago City.

The attack is led by the evil shark-themed villain, Garmadon.

Garmadon is actually the father of Lloyd (Dave Franco), the Green Ninja. When Lloyd accuses his father of ruining his life, Garmadon retorts, “Pffft. That’s not true. I haven’t been a part of your life. How can I ruin it? Wasn’t even there.” Ouch. Daddy issues alert.

There are cool dragons and exosuits that will definitely be sold as LEGO sets nearer to the film’s launch. After all, this would be a 90-minute toy commercial.

Oh, and don't forget that Jackie Chan is in the film, voicing Master Wu.

One trailer is not much, but we like the visual concept and humour of the film. Are you excited to see the film?

‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie’ will open in theatres in 21 September 2017.
