Bohemian Rhapsody the movie is finally coming! Here are our favourite Queen songs!

By Say Peng  /  21 Jul 2018 (Saturday)

Fans of Queen rejoice!

The long-awaited biopic of Bohemian Rhapsody's lead singer Freddie Mercury's life is finally coming to cinemas!

There is no good time than now to revisit Queen's immense discography.

Here are 5 of our favaourite songs from Queen!

5. Another One Bites the Dust

When the song was released in 1980, it was a global hit. It was number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.

Fun fact: After attending their concert in LA, Michael Jackson suggested to Freddie Mercury that the song could be released as a single, which they did, and it became their best-selling single.

4. Don't Stop Me Now

Fun fact: When BBC Top Gear polled their viewers on the their Best Driving Song, Don't Stop Me Now came out tops. No surprise there.

3. I Want To Break Free

A seemingly feminist critique, I Want to Break Free comments on the social imprisonment of women and is a call against their oppression.

2. We Will Rock You

One of Queen's most popular songs, this is an anthem for the millions of sports fan out there.

In 2009, the song was included in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Special Mention - Somebody to Love

Before we get to our favourite Queen song, we thought this song deserves to be mentioned.

In an interview with lead guitarist Brian May, he said that the song was built on multiple vocal parts in the style of a gospel choir and was Mercury's "gospel epic".

1. Bohemian Rhapsody

Queen's most famous, complex, and best song. Period.

If you disagree, we can't be friends.

Bohemian Rhapsody the movie will open in cinemas 1st November!
