Gunslinger vs. the Man in Black in 'The Dark Tower'

By Freddy  /  04 May 2017 (Thursday)

Another Stephen King property is going to the screen. This time, it is his eight-book fantasy series ‘The Dark Tower’. It has been confirmed that the film is not a direct adaptation, but will serve as some sort of sequel to the story in the books.

The film is about the last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), in his attempt to stop the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together.

In his journey, Deschain is accompanied by a boy, Jake Chambers (Tom Taylor).

Despite being a fantasy, the visuals clearly show something more familiar and realistic, unlike ‘The Lord of The Rings’ or ‘Harry Potter’.

Here is a look at McConaughey Walter Pading a.k.a. The Man In Black, the villain of the story.

What do you think of the trailer? Will you watch the film? Tell us in the comments.

'The Dark Tower' opens in theatres 27 July 2017.
