Pet Sematary is back from the dead!
This will be the second adaption of legendary horror author Stephen King's novel of the same title, following the 1989 adaptation.
It is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, the directing duo behind horror films 'Mama 2' and 'Holidays', and stars Jason Clarke ('First Man', 'Zero Dark Thirty') as the father and husband Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz ('Alien: Covenant') as his wife, and John Lithgow ('Interstellar') as Jud Crandall.
The trailer was released last week and we discovered some drastic changes made to the original novel.
In the novel, the young child who dies and then later resurrected is two-year-old Gage.
In the new movie, Gage remains very much alive and it is Ellie who dies and is resurrected.
Nevertheless, whatever the changes, Stephen King seems to be pretty happy with the movie.
He has Tweeted:
You can be sure that King's legions of fans will now be flocking to catch the movie, as will we when it is released here in Singapore on 4 April 2019.
