New 'Cats' trailer is less cat-astrophic

Perhaps we have just gotten used to the human-like features. Is that a good thing?
The new “Cats” movie trailer, based on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical is as bizarre as the first, which debuted a few months ago. These singing cats look like humans dressed in skin-tight onesies with a TikTok cat filter that would scare any actual cats away. The realistic anatomy of the Jellicle cats are not only scary, it’s bizarre.
This new trailer has a bunch of dialogues by its star-studded cast including Dame Judi Dench who plays Old Deuteronomy, Jennifer Hudson as Grizabella, Taylor Swift as Bombalurina, Jason Derulo as Rum Tum Tugger, Rebel Wilson as Jennyanydots, James Corden as Bustopher Jones, Idris Elba as Macavity and newcomer Francesca Hayward as Victoria the White Cat.
Technically, all its visual details remain the same as the first trailer, but if it still scares you, you are not alone. Hopefully, the music and comedy will save this bunch of feline-singing cats.
