Get those baseball bats ready. Korea’s most popular zombie horror film, ‘Train to Busan’ is said to be in its early stages of developing a sequel.

Director-writer Yeon Sang Ho 2016 horror hit became the highest-grossing Korean film in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, with over $100million in box office sales worldwide.

It has been reported that the follow-up, called ‘Bando’ which translates as ‘peninsula’, will be an extension of Train To Busan, after the virus has spread throughout Korea, but the characters are not the same. It shares the same world view and is a zombie action film that deals with the aftermath on the peninsula of what happened in Train To Busan.

The sequel is said to start filming in 2019.
