Check out the tantalizingly violent and sensual trailer of Hong Kong mystery thriller 'G Affairs'.
'G Affairs' has been selected to screen at the currently ongoing Singapore Chinese Film Festival.
Following a sold-out first screening, the film will get an encore screening on 26th April (Friday) at GV Suntec City.
The film is directed by first-time director Lee Cheuk Pan, who began his filmmaking career as an assistant director for numerous veteran Hong Kong directors on films such as 'L for Love, L for Lies' and 'Dead Air'. He has also worked on American director Steven Soderbergh’s film 'Contagion', which was partially set in Hong Kong.
After a string of award-winning shorts, Lee won CreateHK's 3rd First Feature Film Initiative open category award and went on to make 'G Affairs'.
Executive produced by Herman Yau, the film stars big names such as Chapman To ('King of Mahjong'), Huang Lu ('City of Last Things'), and even Yau himself.
The lead is played by rising star Hanna Chan, who was nominated for Best New Performer at the 2018 Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in the action film 'Paradox'.
A multi-layered, self-described Rashomon-esque ensemble thriller, 'G Affairs', which revolves around the discovery of a human head, follows Chan's student protagonist Yu Ting as well as a cast of numerous characters including her admirer and her father Master Lung who is trying to solve the mystery of the murder.
The film has been screened at Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and Hong Kong International Film Festival and has been nominated for 6 categories at the Hong Kong Film Awards, including Best New Director, Best Supporting Actress for Huang Lu, and Best New Actor for Lam Sen.

Also noteworthy is that despite 'G Affairs' being a Hong Kong production, the film is co-produced by our very own Singaporean producer Flora Goh, who has previously produced 'My Love Sinema' and 'A Fantastic Ghost Wedding'. Local music composer Joe Ng, who wrote music for Kelvin Tong's 'The Maid', also worked on the film.
