Watch retailer City Chain opens its new concept store - Moments of City Chain at ION Orchard!
Located at basement 2, Moments of City Chain held its opening ceremony on Tuesday evening (25 Oct) and attracted a huge crowd right outside the shop, turning the wide walkway of ION Orchard into a narrow one.
The watch boutique at ION Orchard, #B2-07 will be City Chain's 40th in Singapore and 355th in Asia. It aims to carry higher-end watch brands and models to appeal to the mid-to-upper income earners.
Mr Joseph Wong, the Chairman of Stelux Holdings which owns City Chain, Seiko, Thong Sia, Optical 88 among many other businesses, was there to officiate the grand opening ceremony.
InCinemas tagged along and took a glimpse inside the newly-renovated store! Among the invited guests, InCinemas also spotted some celebrities like Qi Yuwu, Dasmond Koh, Dawn Yeoh, Le Yao and Fiona Xie! (View their pictures in our InCinemas Gallery)
While weaving in and out taking photos during the event, we overheard Mr Joseph Wong commenting on Dawn Yeoh's watch. "Wow, my watches look so good on you!"

He acquired the rights to Swiss watch brand “Solvil et Titus” and embarked on a highly successful ‘Time is Love’ - 天長地久 – campaign over several years. The campaign, which initially featured Anita Mui and then legendary star Chow Yun Fat, was a huge hit among Asian fans when it was released. Subsequent campaigns featured other famous celebrities, including football legend Ryan Giggs, and, Hong Kong legendary stars Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng and Karen Mok.
