Disney's The BFG (30 June 2016)

Disney’s BFG ( Big Friendly Giant) is the live-adaptation from Roald Dahl's classic 1982 novel of the same title. Touted as one of the highly-anticipated movies of the year, this film is directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Mark Rylance, Bill Hader, Jemaine Clement and Rebecca Hall.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2 June 2016)

Cowabunga…again. 

April is back with her turtle squad to save the city from a dangerous threat in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’. New villains, new story and new cast members. Let’s hope there’ll be new interesting plots and new-er action sequences as well.

X- Men: Apocalypse (19 May 2016)

Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse debuts its first trailer last week, featuring a bunch on new mutants and returning casts. Though the dispute of Wolverine not appearing in the franchise, the trailer still looks like a pretty impressive follow-up.

Independence Day: Resurgence (23 June 2016)

Will Smith may not be back for the sequel to the 1996 sci-fi film, but Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox and Brent Spiner will reprise their original roles for this summer blockbuster movie. The predecessor became the second-highest grossing film in history then, and fans have been waiting for 20 years to catch this sequel, which will premiere in June next year.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (17 November 2016)

The wizarding world continues with Eddie Redmayne leading the magical film, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The film is said to be a spinoff of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series on a guidebook that breaks down all the weird magical creatures. 
Harry Potter fans, this is the second-best thing after the movie series that you can settle for.

Star Trek Beyond (21 July 2016)

Fast & Furious director Justin Lin takes over the director’s chair, giving us a sneak peek into the lives of these characters on the space station. In this instalment, it seems that Captain Kirk is stranded on some planet, trying to find his way back.

Jack Neo is back with his annual Chinese New Year movie. While the popular ‘Ah Boys’ may not be marching back to the big screens in 2016, Neo said in earlier reports that his upcoming production, ‘Long Long Time Ago’ is said to be the most challenging work to date. Watch the trailer to find out!
