Renowned actor Chow Yun Fat (周润发) joins the star-studded cast as a formidable lawyer and harsh critic of the Hong Kong law enforcement, in the action blockbuster sequel, Cold War 2!
Cold War, the 2012 crime thriller was a massive box office success in Asia and stars Aaron Kwok (郭富城), Tony Leung Ka Fai (梁家輝), Eddie Peng (彭于晏) and Andy Lau (刘德华). Expect more elaborate stunts and adrenaline-packed action in the upcoming sequel that surrounds the Hong Kong Police Force. The first film ended with certain unresolved issues in the story, which will be explored in the sequel. Much anticipation surrounds Chow Yun Fat’s new role in the film and the eventual showdown between the three veteran actors.
[Synopsis]
Resuming the storyline of Part 1, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Management) Sean Lau is hell-bent on nabbing the mastermind behind the kidnapping of the police van and the five police officers. On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Waise Lee and his son Joe Lee are joining forces with the biggest mastermind of all, Peter Choi. The three of them plot against Sean Lau in an attempt to outwit him. The Hong Kong police force is in internal chaos. With those at the top turning against each other in the face of power, wealth, and prestige, what will Sean do to protect his position and the safety of his loved ones?
