Complete Works of French Filmmaker Jacques Tati to be Showcased at the National Museum!

Over the next three weekends (20 May - 4 June), the National Museum of Singapore (NMS) Cinémathèque, in conjunction with the Voilah! French Festival, will be exhibiting a complete retrospective of French comic actor, screenwriter, director Jacques Tati. The exhibition is the most comprehensive collection of Jacques Tati's works in South East Asia.

Venue: Gallery Theatre, Basement and Seminar Room, Level 2, National Museum of Singapore

Considered among the greatest directors of all time, Jacques Tati inspired generations of directors and actors after him, notably Steven Spielberg, David Lynch, Otar Iosseliani and Rowan Atkinson. All six of Tati's feature-length films - Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday, Playtime, Mon Oncle, Jour de fête, Traffic, and Parade - will be screened at the exhibition. In addition, there will be workshops as well as panels with international experts on the topics of Tati's films and the representation of the city in art.
