Synopsis
THE FOUR HORSEMEN [Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan] return for a second mind blowing adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than WALTER MABRY [Daniel Radcliffe], a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

People said, “Seeing is believing.” But is that really so? The eye may not lie but it can be lied to through altered perceptions and senses. Just like what the movie is about, the audience will get a taste of being deceived because what you see may not be what you thought it is and what it actually is.

The Four Horsemen return in the sequel, bringing up the level of excitement and fascination with their mind-blowing adventure around the globe. Making use of blind spots and facades, the Horsemen hopes to perform an unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind.

The Good
“You haven’t seen anything yet” is more than apt to describe the whole movie experience. Filled with plot twists, audience can enjoy the “roller coaster ride” with illusions and surprises all set out nicely as the story progresses. Revelations come at the end and suddenly all the pieces fall into place and everything starts to make sense.

Coupled with a tinge of humour and plentiful tricks and actions, the sequel is bound to entertain and awe. With the Horsemen trying to pull off their most impossible heist using the skills they are best at, the audience is sure to be kept on their toes, wondering and worrying how they are going to make it.

The addition of Daniel Radcliffe as the antagonist and Jay Chou to the cast is also much anticipated and well-received.

The Bad
Audience who dislikes mind-boggling storyline — due to the plot twists — may find the sequel hard to comprehend. Or, if you are too tired to think, perhaps catch the movie when you are feeling energised and all ready to challenge the ride.

And The Summary
People said, “Seeing is believing.” But is that really so? The eye may not lie but it can be lied to through altered perceptions and senses. Just like what the movie is about, the audience will get a taste of being deceived because what you see may not be what you thought it is and what it actually is.

Side note: If you have not watched part one, get your friend to give you a crash course and you are good to go! Tried and proven.
